(28/30)

This weekend was spent working on our kitchen. We’ve had our solid surface counter tops for a while, but in an attempt to save money, we opted out of a continuous solid surface back splash. So, we thought it would be no big deal, and pretty easy to throw up a little tile, and make our own back splash. 48 hours setting, grouting, cleaning, siliconing, and scrubbing hours later, our kitchen is pretty darn close to complete. I certainly can’t think of anything else I’d like to do to it. :D Here are photos chronicling our kitchen’s evolution.

LOVE that kitchen!! I’m jealous, actually. So many things I could make with that amount of space!

Here are ideas for tile mural installations , tips on framing the tiles and using field tiles to coordinate with the mural.. Considering the use of found vintage labels and a great way to showcase retro art.
