Good Morning!

Last night was another tennis lesson, and I have to admit, I’m having a lot of fun with this sport. It certainly doesn’t come naturally to me, but somehow, I really do like it pretty well. I’m in a beginners class, and last night, the truth came out about my other classmates. I am the only REAL beginner of the bunch. It had been showing for the past couple of lessons as the former high school, college, and social tennis players got back in their grooves. They consistently hit shots that I only managed once through the night. I’m not upset AT ALL at being a beginner! Not even a little bit! But it can be disheartening to be the flat out worst in the class, particularly when the other classmates aren’t really beginners at all. Due to the majority of the class’ skill level, I’m also probably not getting a true “beginners class” experience… since that would be dreadfully slow for everyone else. I like the coach though, and I’m currently debating signing up for the next session.

I’m considering it, especially since coach told the rest of the gang tonight that if they sign up again, they should sign up for intermediate… (Coach was very kind when he told me-only me- that if I sign up again, I should retake the beginners class) I’m actually looking forward to taking classes again, and maybe having more opportunities to improve my skills. :)

In other news, There was a mosquito in my car on Wednesday morning. I spent the entire drive in a panic, looking all around, afraid of getting eaten alive. Slowly, fearfully, as I felt feather-lite pressure on my hand, I looked down, AND THAT LITTLE BASTARD HAD ALREADY GOTTEN ME TWICE! The nerve of that guy.

Some mosquitos have REALLY bad attitudes.

I’d recommend signing up for the next session if you find you love tennis – why not? Also it will help with increasing speed for running! :)
