Under the weather! >:(
Well, it would appear that I’ve gone and gotten myself totally sick.
Yesterday, my ROCKTOBER challenge Day 3 activity was running 3.5 miles in 38.51 minutes! It was a cool morning though, and while I wore a long sleeved shirt that went up to my neck… it would appear that I have full on bronchitis or some other lung situation. I’ve got a barking cough, and have had a fever off and on all day.
I was a little worried about the challenge, because I don’t want to miss a day, so for challenge Day 4 I decided to do 30 minutes of stretching/yoga poses broken up in 3 ten minute sessions.
IT HURT… but, I would have been so, so sad if I’d jacked up the challenge this early!
Last but not least, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet LOLA on Monday! I wish I was there to have a cupcake with you!!!
I’m off to drown myself in nyquil and get some sleep.
Beautiful day!
Today was gorgeous, and I am so enjoying this cool and quiet evening that I’ll keep this short.
My best count is thatyhere are about 20 people participating in the rocktober challenge! I isn’t EVER too late to get started and I hope you’ll consider making this month the one that sees you (like me) back on track. Challenge day 2 statsTennis drills with my amazing, patient, tennis-star husband -1 hour 45 minutes. Talk to you soon.
ROCKTOBER Challenge!
Hooray for October!
I mentioned earlier in the week that I’m ready to kick my fitness into high gear in time for my annual fitness test that is sometime in November. So, I’ve challenged myself to be active for 30 minutes a day for EVERY DAY of October.
Enter…

For me, the Rocktober Challenge means that I won’t be counting the incidental walking around work, or taking the stairs, or parking at the back of the parking lot. This challenge is about taking 30 minutes out of every day to move my body and improve my fitness with INTENTION.
I would love for you to participate in the Challenge too! Based on your personal level of fitness, this challenge can mean whatever you want it to. So, make it your own, but I challenge YOU to push yourself this month, and make a difference in both your body, and how you feel about yourself.
I also want to thank those of you who contacted me to let me know that you’re still reading! I’m glad to be back on the blogging bandwagon, and it is a supplemental part of this Challenge for me to blog everyday as well. (so be ready for a lot bit more Kelsey than you may be used to… at least since last year’s challenge.
