I promised that I would post my costumes from last week’s Red Ribbon Week (drug free week) at work!

Monday was Hat day… I was totally gloomy, and was perfectly happy with my large brim and school sweatshirt.

Tuesday was Hippy Day, and it was a pleasant surprise to wake up and go to my closet to don my trusty-hippy-dress-up-day-bell-bottoms, only to find they were a 16 (and I’m wearing an 8 now a days) so that was a no go.

Wednesday was PAJAMA DAY! Best day of all, my footie pjs were a massive success, (that’s me on the right) and I almost fell asleep a million times.

Thursday was Backwards day, and I really wanted to just wear my footie pajamas again, but backwards… I ended up wearing my adorable new Woot!Shirt (you’ve got to click to see its cuteness!!!) backwards, but only lasted 45 minutes before turning that crap back around. Tags are evil.

Friday was, of course Halloween day costumes, so I went as Robin Hood. You wouldn’t believe how many kids don’t know the story of Robin Hood AT ALL. For the record, Peter Pan was a kid, and wouldn’t have a sweet moustache, nor would he have need for a cross bow. Ugh.

My Robin Hood costume was a shirt that I bought at old navy (that I actually liked, and planned to wear NOT as part of a costume. Now, I’m sure whenever I see it, I’ll feel like saying ooooode lolly, ooooode lolly, and that sucks. I made a paper hat (which I’m going to post a how to for, since I ended up making it up, because all of the other paper ones I found were dumb. I wore black leggings, and a make shift skirt out of a shirt, since I had forgotten that I wasn’t gonna wear pants, and a shirt with leggings does NOT replace pants. Boots completed the ensemble, as well as a little money pouch, wrist gauntlets, and a butcher paper tube bow.

Costumes rule. Wish I could wear one every day.
