I may not tell you about it… but things definitely keep happening. :D

This post may be a little bullet pointy… but, it’s what I’ve got for ya. :)

  1. I submitted an audition video for GLEE’s open casting call.

If you have a myspace log in, and a few minutes, please go here, and leave me some stars! There is no limit to how many you can leave. :D

Please go have a listen. :D Here is the voting link: My Glee AUDITION

2. I’ve been making a LOT of Vlogs lately. Vlogs are video blogs, and I’ve been having a ton of fun with them lately. You can visit my youtube page to see all of them, but I’ll post a couple of them here for you, too. :D

3. The rehearsals for the musical are going extremely well! I’ve been working hard, dancing, memorizing, and trying desperately to do a great job. :D

This is one of my favorite songs… no, probably my SINGLE favorite song from the show, called Love is my Legs, and it is HILARIOUS! Mandy, who is playing Muriel in our production filmed us practicing it, and posted it. I thought I’d share it here too. :D

4. We performed at the Denton Arts and Jazz festival yesterday, and it was a very… interesting experience! Lots of fun people watching… I did not perform my best, and was a little disappointed, but I honestly did the best I could, and just tried to survive it. :-\

Lots of my friends, and co-workers showed up, so it was great to see them.

I also got to meet lots of the people who are special to my new friends and castmates, which was super fun. :D

5. Daron competed this weekend in the Flower Mound Open! He and his partner, Jimmy took 1st place!! He made several videos and vlogs, and I’m sure he’d love it if you went over to his site, Tennis and Tunes, and checked them out. :D CLICK, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK!!

115/365: My boo! Tennis CHAMP!

6. I updated my 365 photo project! So far, I’ve only totally dropped the ball, and not photographed ANYTHING 6 times, out of 115 days! So, that’s pretty good!

Please visit my flickr stream, here: to see all of the new photos…

I think that’s enough content for tonight.

xoxo.

Well, tomorrow, I go back to “work” tomorrow. I’m not mad about it, actually, I’m pretty excited. I know that I’ll have the opportunity to learn a lot, and I know that it won’t be that bad.

See, tomorrow, I start my summer internship. In order for me to graduate in August, I have to log a bunch of hours of field experience. While it is a little bit backwards (because I already have 3 years of teaching experience under my belt), it is still part of the process. So, tomorrow, I’ll go in and assist a teacher, as she prepares for summer school which starts on Tuesday.

It will be kinda cool to be an assistant, because I’ve never been in that role in the classroom before. I just hope that I can be helpful.

In other news, time is REALLY flying towards Spain… I’m working to get my to do list fully fleshed out, but there are so many different facets of that to do list, I keep getting distracted. :)

There are a bunch of lists, but they fall into specific categories…

  • Packing stuff
  • Conference stuff
  • Itinerary stuff
  • Traumatic Brain Injury Class stuff
  • Internship stuff
  • Before-I-leave stuff
  • Money stuff
  • Fitness stuff (10k RACE IS ON JULY 4!!)

Basically, I just want to get it all done in time. I’m sure I will, but I definitely will be summoning my very best organizational skills to manage it all!

One more thing, I was going through the “tennis day” pictures from my 20 lbs progress picture post, and I found one I meant to share with you. I should explain and disclaim that I am not a tennis player… my sweet husband is, but I merely go to try my best. :) With that in mind, d always tries to teach me tennis skills, and while I’ve improved a lot, there are still areas that I am painfully bad at… Case in point, this sweet shot was captured when I attempted a serve… badly.

Please note where I’m looking, where my racquet is and where the ball is. No bueno. hehe.

Anyway, we had fun… Have a great Monday, everybody. :)

(15/30)

well… If you’ve been reading closely, you can probably count at least a half a dozen times that I’ve mentioned, “I didn’t want to work out”, “I REALLY didn’t want to work out”, “I really, really, really didn’t want to work out”…

Well, tonight, I almost didn’t. I mean, I really almost didn’t… I had a bad urge to puke, and I really tried to convince myself that it would be okay to miss just one day. It is after all, just one day! I turned to Daron, hoping he’d say, “aww, darling… you don’t feel well. And it is just one day.”

But that is not my Daron… :)

He proceeded (as usual) to tell me exactly what I didn’t want to-but desperately needed to- hear.

That I made a commitment, that I set a goal, and most importantly that I could do it. He explained the difference between saying I’d work out for 30 days straight, and saying I’d work out 30 times in 31 days… My promise to myself has to be paramount. I have to make good on my word.

Instead of spewing some crap about why lowering the bar is better, I get to write about how I jumped my half way through hurdle.

So, I worked out… and not-so-surprisingly, I didn’t puke.

well, I’ve failed again. :)

I always have the greatest of intentions, but It can be REALLY hard to remember/find time to blog when you’re feeling busy, swamped, sleepy, or stressed.

I’ve not been feeling all of those things at once, but I’ve certainly touched on each of them in the past few weeks.

Work has been wonderful. I have a great job, at a great school, with amazing people. Thinking about how tough my job can be, while keeping in mind how much better it is with an awesome team makes me feel pretty darn grateful.

So, a grad school first: I submitted a paper to a call for proposals… the international association of special education (www.iase.org) has its biannual conference, and this year, it is in Alicante, Spain! I don’t know if I’ll be selected to present… and it seems pretty bold to hope, but if I do, then I’ll have to start the process of trying to pay for a big TRIP!! I’d get to see my lola, which would be AMAZING!!!! But It’d be hard to focus on the excitement of the conference, and on seeing my darling lolita…. I don’t even know what I’d do if I could see her sweet face in person!! :D

So, I’ll keep you posted on that. :)

So… I know it’s quite late, but here are some pictures from our Sedona vacation

P.S. We just had our 3rd wedding anniversary… man, time really flies when you’re married to the most amazing man alive. :)
