Thanksgiving!
(18/30)
Happy Turkey Day and Happy Birthday to Jessica!!!
Today, my brother got to our house at 7 am, and he, Daron, and I drove off to visit my dad and his crew in a tiny east Texas town.
On the way there, we sang songs (at incredible volumes) and picked out harmonies together. It was really fun, and really awesome.
Once we arrived, I was shuffled into the fray. WOW! Being in a bustling kitchen really stresses me out. The kitchen is certainly not my domain, unless I’m baking-and in my own kitchen, so I just felt–anxious! It was totally weird, to feel my body react to that anxiety. Fascinating.
Anyway, we had a great meal, brought home a bunch of leftovers, and got back safe and sound.
I think the best part, though, was seeing my family… my dad. I really miss him, and wish I was able to hug him more often.
Anyway, happy turkey day to all of you, and have a happy black friday!
good morning!
Well, once again, I’ve fallen down on the job.
I have the GREATEST of intentions that this summer I will be the best blogger ever. We’ll see.
A few brief notes before I hop off to inservice today (no students!):
1. Chris’ baby is actually cute (not ugly) and her soft serve-esque poop is hilarious.
2. I’m sad I missed the k-muff’s shindig, but I brought cupcakes to appease her wrath.
3. Spring break (yea, it was so many weeks ago) was very fun. We went to San Antonio to see Phantom at the Majestic. I drove a suburban full of teens, it was apparently “boss”. lol.
4. Grad school is moving right along. I’m SO far ahead of where I was before… so, that’s great.
My big project for 1 class is due around the 21st, so I’ve got to keep it up.
5. Saturday, Hubs and I drove to Tulsa for a family reunion of sorts. The drive back was hilarious. It involved my pretending to hit a punching bag while he hummed the rocky theme to stay awake.
That’s a pretty decent update for 6:30 am. Take it or leave it!
